I've been spending a lot of time with my Meetup group lately, they're a great group of people. I really enjoy the sharing my photography experiences with them and learning from their's as well. We had a beautiful model from Charlotte, NC feature for us this past week. Jorgie Mason is a published model with polished posing skills. She's automatic and very creative, the perfect type of model for these group type shooting events. I have posted some of my images from the event. To see some of the images from those who attended, check out the meetup page here.
The DMVMPNG had another incredible model as the subject of attention recently. Ms Summer Solstice is a very talented and beautiful young lady hailing from the local area. Ironically she studied gymnastics as a youth next door to the studio where we shot the meetup. I only post my images from the meetups here in the blog. If you would like to see some of the images that members captured during the meetup, you can find them in the photo section of the meetup.com page here, or the facebook group here.
The DMV Model Photography Meetup Group had the pleasure to host the extremely beautiful Desana Moses, Eye Candy Cover model. Here are just a few of the images that I captured during the meetup and I don't shoot many, but the members sure did load their cards up of the curvaceous beauty. If you want to shoot models like this, joint the group here.
I decided to start a meetup group, because many of the groups in my area really didn't showcase the local models. Especially the models of color. So I started the DMV Model Photography Meetup Group. We had our first meetup, a Meet and Greet at the Green Turtle in Annapolis, MD on 11/8/13. Our first model featured meetup took place on 12/7/13 which featured the beautiful Sayoma Cummings. She did a fabulous job and the photographers were pleased with their shots. I have posted a few of the pictures taken during this meetup below and some of the BTS images as well..
If you are interested in shoot some of the areas most beautiful and curvy models, please join. There is a $10 membership fee that is paid annually.
Our fourth and final shoot for the year for the book project. We had a lot of fun with this one. Models - Belleza Courtt, Lalonda M, Q Nicole, Tiffiney Dennis and Jasmine E. Hair by Tynisha and Tawana. Makeup by Noreen and Aundria.
A doe and her fawn made their way into my yard this evening looking for a place to hide out from the horde of hunters out there looking to score some venison for their Winter stews. Well my family had just pulled up into the yard and momma deer was not moving. I was inside having just getting home from work and the phone rang, "Honey, come and open the door, there is a deer outside and we can't get in....., but do it quietly. I don't won't you to spoke her." Needless to say, I grabbed my trusty Canon 7D and my 70 - 200 and went downstairs to capture this beast up close and personal. By the time I made it to the door, she had moved into the backyard. I open the front door let everyone in and set up in the kitchen. The backyard was dark and it was difficult to see the deer and her fawn. I cranked my ISO up to 4000 and opened the aperture to 2.8. They spent most of the night with us, in the safety of my yard. By morning they were gone.
Our third shoot for this incredible project. Our models - Sayoma Cummings, Erica Adjerson and Alexis M. Hair by Tynisha and Tawana and makeup by Bianca and our newest team member Noreen Chin.
Today I had the opportunity to photography a wonderful couple who had been together 21 years before this their blessed wedding day. I meet family and friends from near and far. Their children were an absolute delight. There's a lot of love in this family and it shows in the photos I took.
This was the second shoot day for the Diva project. Our models Lisha Hepburn and Tamara Patrice were awesome. Hair was done by Tynisha Dennis and Tawana Vines. Makeup by Bianca Perez and Pinky of Pinkies Lash Boutique.
A few pics from Geena and A J's baby shower. A few of Geena's coworker threw her a small baby shower. I just so happened to be in the area with my camera.
Every year the members of Washington Suburban Sanitary Comm WCSG's Analyst Unit get together to reflect on a great year of providing world class service to the community. The Unit Coordinator sponsors the event as an appreciation to his team. Thank you to everyone involved and every member of the team. Here are just a few of the pictures from the event.
